Hydrogen Initiative for Ostholstein

Hydrogen is a versatile carrier of energy and a central element of the energy revolution. In Ostholstein and in the entire HanseBelt region, the conditions are optimal for establishing potential hydrogen value chains and rendering them not only competitive but also sustainable. The region can thus assume a pathbreaking position from the production and distribution to the use of green hydrogen, especially in mobility applications.

On the initiative of the Ostholstein district and under the leadership of EGOH, private and municipal companies, such as those from the logistics, industry and supply and disposal sectors, are working proactively and with great dedication in the Working Group on the Hydrogen Economy in the HanseBelt Region. They are developing concrete ideas and measures to shape the energy revolution successfully through the production and use of green hydrogen.
